Replacement of flat roof over the side extension - October 2024
The entire flat roof covering the Ash and Rowan Room forming the side extension was replaced at a cost of around £8k. Water was leaking through the ceiling into the Rowan room damaging the ceiling and carpet tiles in the area that was refurbished in 2023. Hopefully, repairs to the ceiling will be carried out by volunteers in August 2025.

New radiators and pipework throughout - December 2024
Essential repairs to our gas heating system were carried out over the Christmas period in December 2024. Our thanks go to David Murray and his team from Camwell Plumbers who worked tirelessly to ensure minimum disruption. We are delighted with the results and our hall hirers will no doubt appreciate a much warmer venue.
Refurbishment of main hall floor - February 2025
The main hall floor has been in desperate need of refurbishment for some time. For this reason it was an easier decision to take the opportunity to have replacement pipework chased into the main hall floor instead of boxing in, to ensure there wasn't any unnecessary exposed pipework. Various options to cover up the Granwood original flooring were researched, however, discussing options including the Granwood floor with specialists, discovered that a refurbishment of the existing floor was the most cost effective.
Repairs to other flooring impacted by heating repairs - February 2025
The kitchen flooring needs to be replaced in areas affected by gas heating repairs along with small areas of carpet tiles in adjacent areas. A cost for this is yet to be obtained.
